Recently on October 2-3, 2023, industry members came together in Phoenix, AZ for the 2023 Pharmaceutical Care Management Association (PCMA) Annual Meeting.

This meeting was developed for senior executives from PBMs, specialty pharmacy members, and pharmaceutical and biotech executives. Additionally, affiliated business partners, such as drug manufacturers, attend. More specifically, attendance includes:

Pharma and Biotech Industry

• C-suite executives
• Senior managed markets, market access, managed care professionals
• Pricing, contracting, and reimbursement executives
• Health economics outcomes and data executives
• Pharmacy and medical officers and directors
• Health care quality or innovative executives

PBMs, Specialty Pharmacy, and Payers

• C-suite executives
• All professionals within trade/pharma relations
• Pharmacy and medical directors
• Pharma program professionals
• Contracting professionals
• Patient and clinical program professionals

The PCMA staff developed the annual meeting in an effort to help these executives improve business strategies.

“The decision makers and thought leaders in attendance, educational insights, and business opportunities are ultimately what make the Annual Meeting so valuable,” explains the PCMA staff. “There are many challenges and opportunities impacting the pharmaceutical and broader healthcare industry today, key among them are pharmaceutical innovation and affordability, access, and value.”

The goal of the event is to learn, network, and collaborate. Over the two-day conference, PCMA hopes that both the interactions and dialogues that happen on and off the stage will continue to help industry collaboration in order to improve pharmaceutical care for patients.
