PedirhythmX to Convene in Boston This September

Hosted by Boston Children’s Hospital Benderson Family Heart Center, the world’s leading pediatric electrophysiologists to gather at biennial conference.

BOSTON, MA, 2 Feb. 2022– Pedirhythm is proud to announce that the world’s leading pediatric electrophysiologists will gather this September at its tenth conference, PedirhythmX, as the biennial event heads to the United States for the first time. Hosted by the Boston Children’s Hospital Benderson Family Heart Center, Pedirhythm is focused on arrhythmia care for infants, children, and patients of all ages with congenital heart disease. The event will run from September 22-24 at the Colonnade Hotel in Boston.

Pedirhythm attracts physicians, fellows in training, nurses, scientists, and industry representatives from across the globe for several days of engagement, education, and connection. PedirhythmX is endorsed by the Heart Rhythm Society, the Pediatric and Congenital EP Society, the Association of European Pediatric Cardiology, and the Asia Pacific Heart Rhythm Society. The conference has been held in cities across the globe since its inaugural meeting in Istanbul in 2003.

Regularly attracting some of the world’s top pediatric doctors and scientists, the event found Boston to be the perfect venue. “As a hub of research, science, and technology, we’re proud that Boston will welcome Pedirhythm this September,” said Dr. John Triedman of Boston Children’s Hospital Department of Cardiology. “Boston Children’s Hospital remains on the cutting edge of innovation in pediatric cardiology, and it’s critical as our field advances that we exchange best practices with great minds from around the world. Pedirhythm provides the world’s best venue for that exchange and we’re excited to welcome our colleagues to Boston.”

More than 200 health care professionals attended the 2018 meeting in Munich, while nearly 500 individuals participated virtually in the 2020 meeting. PedirhythmX will provide both in-person and virtual learning options for its guests this September. “Pedirhythm is a superb opportunity to learn and to share advances in clinical and research electrophysiology for children and patients with congenital cardiac disease,” said Dr. Ed Walsh of Boston Children’s Hospital Department of Cardiology. “Attendees will be able to connect with experts from the world’s leading academic programs, and to learn from those engaged in the science and practice of pediatric and congenital electrophysiology.”

Attending faculty will include senior figures in the practice as well as promising young investigators, with a format that emphasizes opportunities for interaction. Continuing Education credits will be available to registrants through Boston Children’s Hospital. Registration for the conference will open later this month at www.pedirhythmx.org.
