Transcripts:
Hi everybody, my name is Martha Ferrara, I’m the assistant director of EP services at White Plains Hospital in New York. Thank you to Jodie and EP Lab Digest for asking me to highlight my talk Saturday morning on remote monitoring best practices. Remote monitoring is standard of care for patients with implantable cardiac devices. There are many inherent opportunities to improve workflows in remote monitoring due to data deluge, staff ratios, and remote monitoring trained personnel scarcity. Three take-home messages I would like to share with allied health professionals doing remote monitoring work is to consider a data management system, remote monitoring needs dedicated remote monitoring staff, and be your own champion doing remote monitoring work, because remote monitoring is patient care.
