Annual AHA Issue: This Month's Issue Features Articles From the HRS, SASEAP, and ACVP

Jodie Elrod, Managing Editor, EP Lab Digest

November 2007

Dear readers,

This month we hear from electrophysiologists, allied professionals, EP organizations, and EP advocates (even an architect, too!).

Highlights from our November issue include:

In this issue, we speak with Stephen Hammill, MD, FHRS about the first-year results from the Baseline ICD Registry. The first-year data was originally published in HeartRhythm, the official journal of the Heart Rhythm Society. Launched June 30, 2005, the Baseline ICD Registry was developed through a collaboration between the ACCF and HRS. In addition, we hear from the South Atlantic Society of Electrophysiology for Allied Professionals (SASEAP), who just completed their thirteenth annual meeting in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. In their article, they present the abstract summaries from this year s SASEAP presentations. Finally, we feature an article from the Alliance of Cardiovascular Professionals (ACVP). Author Peggy McElgunn, Esq., Executive Director of the ACVP, has provided information about the ACVP's Standards and Competencies, which were developed for organizations interested in the training and performance of the cardiovascular specialties.

Readers, if you would be interested in submitting an article to EP Lab Digest, please contact us. We would love to hear from you!

Thanks for reading!

Best regards, Jodie Elrod, Managing Editor, EP Lab Digest
