Wis. Paramedic Charged With Drug Thefts

Prosecutors say a Baraboo ambulance worker stole pain medication from a supply closet and switched it out with other substances to cover his tracks.

The Sauk County District Attorney’s Office filed misdemeanor theft and felony drug possession charges Thursday against 39-year-old Jason M. Ramker, a part-time paramedic with the Baraboo District Ambulance Service.

According to court documents, officials at the ambulance service contacted police after noticing four vials of the painkiller Dilaudid went missing from a supply closet in late October.
