Editors’ Expressions: Let Us Tell Your Story

Jonathan Bassett, MA, NREMT

"Editors' Expressions" is a recurring feature in which the EMS World editorial staff ruminates on current news, noteworthy events and everyday happenings with relevance to healthcare and EMS delivery. Feel free to react in the comment box below or e-mail editor@emsworld.com.

Springtime is awards season at EMS World, and we’re sending out the call once again for providers, agencies and products to celebrate. Do you work for a service that’s worthy of special recognition, or is a colleague doing innovative work in EMS? Are you a manufacturer who has developed game-changing transport, treatment or communication technology? Tell us about it!

There are many ways to be profiled in print, online, in a podcast, special supplement or video.

  • EMS Week is May 16–22, 2021. As in prior years, EMS World will be showcasing exemplary providers and agencies in each of the five themes of EMS Week—Education, Safety, EMS for Children, Save-A-Life (CPR and Stop the Bleed), and EMS Recognition. We need to hear from you! Contact editor@emsworld.com with a brief description and you could be featured in print or online.
  • Submissions are open for the EMS World/NAEMT EMS Awards of Excellence. Produced in partnership with NAEMT, the National EMS Awards of Excellence program recognizes providers and agencies for outstanding achievement in the field. There are seven specific categories for which to enter. Submission deadline is June 30. Enter here.
  • EMS World Innovation Awards. Open to device manufacturers, vendors, inventors, companies and suppliers, EMS World's Innovation Awards celebrate the hottest new products improving the delivery of EMS. The contest is limited to new products or those that have undergone significant modifications or upgrades and were launched within the prior 18 months. Enter here.

EMS World is honored to share your story with our readers—but it starts with you!
