Pinnacle Acquires 4 Outpatient Treatment Programs from RCA
Pinnacle Treatment Centers announced on Wednesday that it has acquired the following 4 outpatient addiction treatment centers from Recovery Centers of America (RCA):
- Delaware County Healthcare Clinic (Lansdown, Pennsylvania), which will be renamed Lansdowne Treatment Services;
- Trenton Healthcare Clinic (Trenton, New Jersey), which will be renamed Trenton Treatment Services;
- Bravo Medical (Somerdale, New Jersey), which will be renamed Somerdale Treatment Services; and
- Woodbridge Healthcare Clinic (Iselin, New Jersey), which will be renamed Woodbridge Treatment Services.
Each of the facilities being acquired by Pinnacle offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorder (OUD).
Based in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey, Pinnacle Treatment Centers serves more than 35,000 patients per day within its network of more than 135 facilities operating in 9 states.
Monte Nido Opens Women’s Program in Houston
Multistate eating disorder treatment center operator Monte Nido & Affiliates announced on Monday that it has opened Monte Nido Houston, a residential program in Conroe, Texas. The new program will provide care for adult females with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, and/or exercise addiction.
The Houston area location is the second program in Texas in the Monte Nido & Affiliates portfolio of brands, joining Clementine Houston, a residential program for adolescents. Overall, Monte Nido & Affiliates operates programs in 15 states under 5 brands.
Hopebridge Autism Therapy Centers Names Next CEO
Hopebridge Autism Therapy Centers announced on Monday that David McIntosh, its current president and chief operating officer, will be elevated to the role of chief executive officer, effective May 1, 2023. McIntosh will succeed current CEO Dennis May, who has served in the role since 2016 and is transitioning to executive chairman of the Hopebridge board of directors.
In his 3 years with Hopebridge, McIntosh has played a key role in the company’s expansion and scaling of operations across 12 states. He has served as president and COO since 2021. Prior to joining Hopebridge, McIntosh worked as a physical therapist before moving into an executive role as vice president of operations for PT Solutions Physical Therapy.
Hazelden Betty Ford, TELUS Health Announce Collaboration
The Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation and TELUS Health have announced a collaboration aimed at expanding access to substance use disorder (SUD) treatment and mental health support in the US and Canada.
The 2 organizations will introduce SUD-specific programming to TELUS Health’s AbilitiCBT solution, an internet-based cognitive behavioral therapy program that is currently available to corporations, healthcare institutions, and health insurers. The program will now include a “first step” into early intervention for alcohol and other SUDs, as well as ongoing recovery and family support.
