NUWAY Alliance to Acquire Arrigoni Recovery Homes
NUWAY Alliance, through the NUWAY Recovery Foundation, announced on Wednesday that it is acquiring Arrigoni East and West supportive housing properties from its current owner, Supportive Living Solutions. The deal is slated to close on September 1. Current Arrigoni residents will not be impacted by the ownership transition.
Founded in 1973, Arrigoni helps residents at its East (St. Paul, Minnesota) and West (Minneapolis, Minnesota) homes remain in recovery from substance use disorder. The properties join the NUWAY Alliance, the parent organization of NUWAY, a not-for-profit extended behavioral healthcare services provider, and NUWAY Recovery Foundation, which was founded in 2018 to advocate for and improve access to quality recovery housing.
NUWAY Recovery Foundation maintains relationships with recovery residence operators throughout the state to help individuals receiving treatment for SUD and co-occurring mental health disorders.
Oceans Healthcare Appoints Chief Medical Officer
Oceans Healthcare announced this week that it has appointed James Butler, MD, PhD, as the Texas-based behavioral healthcare organization’s new chief medical officer. Dr Butler has more than 10 years of experience in psychiatry and medical genetics. Most recently, he served as a regional medical director for Oceans, overseeing patient care teams and improvement efforts for the organization’s Texas programs.
Overall, Oceans Healthcare provides inpatient and outpatient treatment services, specializing in the needs of older adults, at 36 locations, including 25 inpatient hospital campuses in the Southeast.
HHF Takes Over Invo ABA Programs in Pennsylvania
Helping Hands Family (HHF), a provider of autism therapy services, has been selected to take over Invo Healthcare’s applied behavior analysis (ABA) services in Pennsylvania after Invo made the decision to discontinue its center-based ABA programs across all states in which it operates.
HHF will assume control of operations involving 2 Invo clinics in Ridley Park and Newton Square, Pennsylvania. All staff at the facilities will be retained, and current clients at the 2 programs will not have services disrupted, HHF said in a news release.
Pneuma Behavioral Health Acquires Bright Path
Pneuma Behavioral Health recently announced that it has expanded its programs in North Carolina with its acquisition of Bright Path Behavioral Health, a provider of in-network partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services for adolescents between the ages of 13 and 18.
Founded in 2012, Bright Path’s offerings include full-time, onsite psychiatric providers and an education liaison, who coordinates with schools and parents to ensure students continue receiving their education while in treatment.
Health Connect America Acquires Specialized Youth Services of Virginia
Health Connect America (HCA), a behavioral health services platform owned by Palladium Equity Partners, announced recently that it has acquired Specialized Youth Services of Virginia, a private day school near Richmond, Virginia. The deal is HCA’s sixth add-on acquisition within the past 2 years, according to a news release.
HCA President and CEO Kristi Shain said the acquisition of Specialized Youth Services will help facilitate an expansion in Virginia. The deal also creates HCA’s fifth KEYS Academy, a program in which students receive tailored intensive services that incorporate social and emotional strategies.
