Meridian Health CEO to Retire
Meridian Health, a community mental health agency-turned-integrated healthcare organization based in Muncie, Indiana, announced this week that Hank Milius will retire as president and CEO at the end of 2023. Milius has led Meridian Health for 23 years.
Milius joined Meridian Health in 2002, when the organization was known as Comprehensive Mental Health Services and operated 3 clinics with 200 employees, 3 medical staff members, and $20 million in revenue. An advocate for “whole-person health,” Milius led a transformation that included an integration of primary medical care services and a name change to Meridian.
Today, the organization employs a staff of 1100, including more than 60 medical providers, at more than 50 facilities with $150 million in revenue.
In a news release announcing Milius’s impending retirement, Meridian announced that it has begun a national search to find his successor.
Colorado Center for Clinical Excellence Acquired by ARC Health
ARC Health, a Thurston Group portfolio company based in Beachwood, Ohio, announced that it has acquired the Colorado Center for Clinical Excellence (CCCE) in Denver, Colorado. CCCE is a mental healthcare provider group that offers psychotherapy and group therapy for individuals and couples, adults, and adolescents at 2 locations.
The company was founded by Jason Seidel, PsyD, CGP, CCCE.
In a news release announcing the deal, Seidel said the acquisition by ARC Health “represents our best hope for world-class business support to underpin our clinical expertise so we can more effectively serve our clients,” noting mounting challenges of competing “against sophisticated and well-funded competitors.”
Youturn Health Partners With Responder Health to Serve First Responders
Youturn Health, a virtual support program to help individuals and families manage behavioral health and substance misuse issues, announced that it has partnered with Responder Health, a platform offering stress and trauma education and support services for more than 200,000 first responders.
The Responder Health community will have access to Youturn Health’s 300 education videos, personal stories, and conversations on stress, anxiety, grief, substance misuse, mental health, and suicide ideation. Content is available through Responder Health’s mobile app.
