Tech Platform Kyros Raises $10.5 Million in Funding

Kyros, a Minnesota-based technology platform that provides substance use disorder recovery services, announced on Tuesday that it has raised an additional $10.5 million in funding to expand access to its treatment programs. Rally Ventures, an existing investor in the company, led the funding round.

Launched in 2021, Kyros connects individuals seeking SUD treatment with certified peer recovery specialists. The company has served more than 2000 clients within the past 2 years. In addition to its peer services, Kyros said in a release it is also expanding its same-day, virtual, comprehensive behavioral health assessments.

Rosewood Scottsdale will be led by Executive Director Mireille Reece, PsyD, and Clinical Director Rachel Hoffman, LCSW. The facility will serve as a complement to other nearby Monte Nido programs, including Rosewood Ranch for Adolescents and Rosewood Ranch for Adults in Wickenburg, Arizona, and Rosewood Tempe, a day treatment program for adolescents and adults in Tempe, Arizona. Overall, Monte Nido & Affiliates operates more than 50 programs across its 4 brands.

Rosewood Scottsdale will offer teen-focused therapies, including equine therapy provided by Ignite Counseling and Equine Psychotherapy. PrairieCare Unveils Inpatient Hospital Expansion

Psychiatric health system PrairieCare on Wednesday unveiled a 30,000-square-foot expansion of its inpatient psychiatric hospital in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, adding 30 inpatient beds to serve young adults.

PrairieCare, a division of Newport Healthcare, serves more than 20,000 patients per year, and the addition will allow the organization to serve an extra 1000 teens and young adults with mental health conditions per year, the company said in a news release.

PrairieCare’s expansion was authorized by Minnesota’s state legislature as part of the Omnibus Health and Human Services Finance Bill in 2021. In 2022, the legislature passed legislation that temporarily waived a hospital bed moratorium process for facilities to add mental health and substance use disorder treatment beds.
