Cypress Lake Recovery Launches First Responder Program
Cypress Lake Recovery, a residential drug and alcohol addiction treatment center located north of Houston, Texas, has launched a first responder recovery program. The program will offer treatment for first responders with substance use disorders and dual diagnoses.
Treatment modalities in the program will include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), EMDR, psychodrama mindfulness, and other therapies. The program also includes trauma-specific sessions and group sessions with other first responders.
Cypress Lake Recovery also announced that it is now in network with Optum United Healthcare and Carelon (formerly Beacon Health), bringing the total number of insurers it accepts to 7.
Caravel Adds New Autism Program in Iowa
Caravel Autism Health, a provider of autism spectrum disorder treatment services, has opened a new autism therapy clinic in Dubuque, Iowa. The clinic will serve families in Iowa, Wisconsin, and Illinois with evaluation, diagnosis, applied behavior analysis therapy, family support, and counseling services.
Founded in 2009, Caravel operates autism therapy clinics in 7 states.
CarePlus NJ Receives Grant to Expand Youth Program
CarePlus NJ, a provider of primary and behavioral health services for adults and children, announced recently that it has been awarded a 5-year, $600,000 grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). The grant will fund an expansion of the organization’s Community Treatment and Service Center (CTS) from Bergen County, New Jersey, to Passaic and Essex counties.
CarePlus projects that will treat more than 2100 patients between the ages of 7 and 17 over the 5-year period, providing assessment, care management, and therapy for underserved and under-resourced English- and Spanish-speaking children and adolescents who have experienced traumatic events. CarePlus said in a news release that 70 of its clinicians and supervisors will complete specialized training, and the organization will partner with 125 youth-serving organizations.
