Caron Treatment Centers Appoints COO
Caron Treatment Centers has announced the appointment of Kristine Bashore as the organization’s new chief operating officer. Bashore has been with Caron for more than 20 years. As COO, she will lead day-to-day operations and continue to oversee alignment of the organization’s resources through a new 3-year strategic plan. She is also managing the launch of the Keele Center, a new medical center expected to open in South Florida in early 2023.
Bashore is responsible for oversight of Caron’s facilities, human resources, training, quality, compliance, risk management, admissions, regional services, business development, marketing, and communications.
In her 2 decades with the organization, she has previously served as chief human resource officer, chief marketing officer, and most recently, chief administrative officer.
In a news release announcing her appointment as COO, Bashore said she will prioritize employee engagement and growth, patient outcomes and standards, treatment access through value-based contracts, research investment, service expansion into underserved communities, and fostering diversity, inclusion, and cultural sensitivity.
Banyan Opens New Florida Facility
Banyan Treatment Centers announced that it has opened a new inpatient treatment location in Sebring, Florida.
Banyan Sebring will offer inpatient treatment for substance use, mental health, co-occurring disorders, and detox services. The facility has a 40-bed capacity.
Banyan’s treatment program includes residential care for patients with substance use, mental health, or co-occurring disorders. The Sebring facility’s mental health program will treat disorders that include: mood, thought, anxiety, bipolar, and schizophrenic disorders, as well as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Grand Lake Mental Health Center Announces Name Change
Grand Lake Mental Health Center, a certified community behavioral health clinic that provides mental health services to individuals in northcentral and northeastern Oklahoma, announced that it has changed its name to GRAND Mental Health.
Founded in 1979, the provider’s service offerings will not change under the new name. GRAND staff serve more than 10,000 clients through 20 facilities across 12 Oklahoma counties.
The company also announced that it will be opening a brief stay therapeutic home in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, in the summer of 2022. The home will allow families in crisis to receive intensive treatment as a family unit, with a goal of keeping children in a stable home and out of state custody.
Two Chairs Expands Services to Washington
Two Chairs, a state provider of in-person and virtual mental health services in California, announced that it has expanded its services to begin offering therapy to patients in Washington state. The organization is now offering its virtual services to all Washington-based clients, and an in-person clinic is slated to open in Seattle this summer.
Two Chairs employs a staff of licensed therapists who have more than 90 areas of practicing expertise combined. Patients are offered the option of alternating between virtual therapy and in-person sessions, depending on needs.
Revitalist Closes 2nd Portion of Private Placement Offering
Revitalist Lifestyle and Wellness, a provider of ketamine-assisted psychotherapy for patients suffering from treatment-resistant pain and mood conditions, announced it has closed the second portion of a previously announced private placement offering. Total gross proceeds raised from the offering are now $3.944 million.
Net proceeds from the private placement are expected to be applied toward working capital purposes, the company said in a news release.
