BayMark Acquires San Antonio Recovery Center
BayMark Health Services announced on Tuesday that it has expanded its continuum of care in Texas with its acquisition of San Antonio Recovery Center (SARC), a residential substance use disorder (SUD) treatment provider.
SARC provides residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient SUD treatment programs, along with aftercare, alumni programs, and transitional housing. SARC operates 2 residential facilities, as well as an outpatient facility and an alumni center in San Antonio.
The SARC programs will join a BayMark portfolio that includes 10 facilities in Texas operating under various brands that provide medication-assisted treatment and detoxification options. BayMark has 2 opioid treatment programs in San Antonio and an outpatient detox unit in Austin, Texas.
The mergers and acquisitions firm the Braff Group represented SARC in the transaction.
Scottsdale Recovery Center Opens Sober Living Facility
Scottsdale Recovery Center (SRC) in Arizona has announced the opening of Starfire Center of Sobriety, a certified sober living facility located near the company’s outpatient addiction treatment clinic.
The facility is certified with the Arizona Recovery Housing Association and is in the process of obtaining licensure with the Arizona Department of Health Services. Starfire Center will provide learning opportunities for daily living skills, including meal planning, environment cleanliness, and daily schedule adherence. The program will also offer recovery meetings, alumni induction, and abstinence verification.
Residents will be required to have gainful employment and participate in continued recovery through SRC’s outpatient groups.
Lucent Health Partners With Youturn Health
Lucent Health, which provides self-funded health plans for employers, has announced a partnership with Youturn Health, a virtual support program for individuals who struggle with or have family members dealing with behavioral health challenges. The partnership will allow Lucent Health’s more than 700 client organizations to offer their employees Youturn’s programming, which addresses stress, substance misuse, suicide ideation, and grief.
Youturn Health is the former Heritage CARES, which announced a rebrand in June following its merger with the video platform YouTurn earlier this year.
