ARC Health Acquires The Ross Center

ARC Health, a Thurston Group portfolio company, announced on Monday that it has acquired The Ross Center, a mental health group that serves patients in Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, and New York City. Founded 30 years ago to serve patients with anxiety, The Ross Center has since expanded its services to treat obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic attacks, insomnia, post-traumatic stress disorder, and other mental health conditions.

The acquisition expands ARC Health’s footprint into the New York and Washington, DC metropolitan areas. Earlier this year, the company acquired practices in Connecticut, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Minnesota, expanding from its base of operations in Ohio.

Spring Health Names New Chief Operating Officer

Spring Health, a mental health services organization for employers and health plans, has announced the appointment of Robin Lloyd as its chief operating officer. Lloyd has more than 30 years of experience, with a background in healthcare innovation. Most recently, he served as chief product and commercial officer for Health Fidelity.

In a news release announcing Lloyd’s appointment, Spring Health CEO April Koh noted Lloyd’s “agility to work with companies both big and small, bringing the resourcefulness and entrepreneurialism required to build a startup as well as the experience to operate at scale.”

The Valley Adding Treatment Program for Executives

The Valley, a privately owned residential treatment center in Rockville, Maryland, announced plans to add The Executive Program at The Valley, an addiction treatment program for professionals. The new program will be housed in a 6400-square-foot residence on land connected to the treatment center’s existing property.

With the addition of the new program for executives, The Valley will have a 28-bed capacity. The provider offers inpatient treatment programs that integrate addiction, substance use, and mental health treatment.

The new executive-focused program will build on the company’s existing methods in a separate location on its campus. It will also offer small group therapy sessions and opportunities for clients to stay connected to work responsibilities in a private setting.

T&R/Sabino Recovery Acquires Cypress Lakes Lodge

Arizona-based T&R/Sabino Recovery announced this week that CEO Thomas Isbell and Roy M. Serpa, board chairman, have acquired Cypress Lake Lodge in Woodville, Texas. In a news release announcing its acquisition, Sabino said that Isbell and Serpa will be “heavily investing in the team at Cypress Lakes Lodge and the daily work they do” for its residents. The executives plan to grow the treatment program through staff development and a diversification of services offered. Isbell and Serpa will also look to acquire additional residential treatment centers, according to the release.
