Acadia Acquires 4 MAT Facilities in Georgia

Acadia Healthcare announced on Tuesday that it has expanded its presence in Georgia with its acquisition of 4 comprehensive treatment centers from Brand New Start Treatment Centers. The 4 facilities are located in the suburbs of the Atlanta metropolitan area. With the acquisition, Acadia’s network of medication-assisted treatment centers now has 148 locations and 242 behavioral healthcare facilities across 39 states overall.

In a news release announcing the deal, Acadia CEO Chris Hunter noted that the 4 facilities the organization is acquiring are “fully operational with strong track records of positive patient outcomes.”

Connections Health Solutions Appoints COO

Connections Health Solutions, a provider of behavioral healthcare crisis care, announced it has appointed Laura Buckley as its chief operating officer. Buckley, who has more than 15 years of operational experience, will be tasked with overseeing Connections’ national operations and support initiatives to scale the company’s clinical model and shared services operations.

For the past 12 years, Buckley has focused on healthcare, the last 8 of which were spent developing and launching products and services for chronically ill patients at Fresenius Medical Care. She has also held various market operations and product leadership roles with WellCare Health Plans, where she oversaw business process improvement, Medicaid expansion, and Medicaid health plan options.

Connections provides immediate-access behavioral health crisis care services in Arizona and Montana, and has expanded its services to include mobile crisis, behavioral health urgent care clinics, observation and treatment units, behavioral health subacute units, and recovery outpatient programs.

Twill Partners with e-Psychiatry to Expand Telebehavioral Health Offerings

Digital healthcare company Twill has partnered with e-Psychiatry, a telepsychiatry and teletherapy firm, to provide access to psychiatrists, psychologists, and therapists for higher acuity patients. e-Psychiatry’s services will be offered as an element of Sequences, Twill’s digital-first offering that was developed to weave together disparate strands of clinical care.

“e-Psychiatry provides access to thousands of licensed behavioral health professionals in all 50 states through our telebehavioral platform. With Twill, we’ll be able to expand the patients we reach and improve their engagement through Twill’s digital treatment modalities,” Scott Bernard, CEO and president at e-Psychiatry, said in a news release.

The partnership with e-Psychiatry follows a similar deal for Twill in which it announced a collaboration with YourCoach.
