Timberline Knolls partners with radio program to bring support to trauma survivors
Timberline Knolls Residential Treatment Center announced it has partnered with the YOUR LIFE AFTER TRAUMA weekly radio program to support and bring the latest information to trauma and PTSD survivors, caregivers and mental health professionals. YOUR LIFE AFTER TRAUMA will launch its first show on Contact Talk Radio on Wednesday, September 12 at 2 p.m. EDT.
The first show will be military-focused on the topic of "Veteran Employment Issues: Overcoming Obstacles in the Civilian Job Hunt." The show will be co-hosted by Terry Howell, the managing editor of www.military.com, one of the Internet's largest military resource sites.
"With this partnership we continue our commitment to equipping trauma and PTSD survivors, caregivers and mental health professionals with the best possible resources, inspiration for healing and most importantly, hope," said Kim Dennis, M.D., CEO and medical director of Timberline Knolls. "With appropriate treatment, trauma and PTSD survivors can lead healthy and productive lives."
Timberline Knolls will provide a "Professional Perspective" interview on each show along with a guest post by a mental health professional on the Heal My PTSD website.
"Since the success of my own trauma recovery my mission focuses on helping other survivors achieve the same freedom," said Michele Rosenthal, author, speaker, post-trauma coach, founder of www.healmyptsd.com, and host of YOUR LIFE AFTER TRAUMA. "YOUR LIFE AFTER TRAUMA was born from my desire to gather information and support, plus build a community relevant to survivors, their caregivers and healing professionals. I'm very excited to collaborate with Timberline Knolls' extensive and educated staff to create programming that assists everyone in learning how to feel better after a life-altering experience."
