Sierra Tucson Opens Copper Sky Building

Arizona-based Sierra Tucson has expanded its recovery center campus with the opening of its new Copper Sky building.

The 30,000-square-foot lodge houses 44 beds and two programs: the Crossing and the Chrysalis. The Crossing program assists patients with detoxification and stabilization prior to transitioning into Sierra Tucson’s residential care program.

The Chrysalis program provides individualized care with wraparound services. Treatment is customized “to a diverse population who do not meet the criteria for acute care yet are not a fit for traditional residential treatment,” according to a Sierra Tucson news release. Chrysalis program patients will include those with: major depressive disorder, chronic suicidality, obsessive compulsive disorder, delusions, eating disorders and/or PTSD.

Sierra Tucson said in the news release that it plan to add services at Copper Sky, including a first-time outpatient program later this year.
