Sheppard Pratt Names New VP/Chief Medical Officer

Sheppard Pratt Health System, a private, not-for-profit provider of mental health, substance use, developmental disability, special education and social services provider, on Thursday announced the promotion of Todd Peters, MD, to vice president and chief medical officer.

Peters succeeds Robert Roca, MD, who retired in April after more than 25 years with Sheppard Pratt. In his new role, Peters will focus on the health system’s network of programs, sites and levels of care, and oversee quality of care. He will also manage Sheppard Pratt Physicians, P.A., and oversee a psychiatry residency training program that is run jointly with the University of Maryland.

Peters joined Sheppard Pratt in July 2018 as medical director of child and adolescent services and chief medical information officer. He will continue as CMIO.
