Rogers Behavioral adds new OCD programs
Rogers Behavioral Health has opened a new Nashville treatment facility that offers a partial hospitalization program (PHP) for adults, adolescents and children diagnosed with OCD and anxiety. It will consist of a treatment plan that is six hours a day, five days per week.
According to officials, within 30 days, the facility will expand to include an intensive outpatient program (IOP) as well, three hours a day, four days per week. Combined, the programs will be able accommodate 32 patients. The usual length of participation is four to six weeks.
Physicians and psychiatrists will utilize comprehensive treatment programs based in cognitive behavior therapy emphasizing exposure and response prevention.
“These therapies are evidence-based, meaning research studies have documented and proven them to be the most effective treatment therapies for helping those with OCD and anxiety better manage their thoughts, emotions and behaviors,” said Stephanie Eken, MD, Rogers’ regional medical director for the programs, in a statement. “This treatment approach has been shown to be effective for 85 percent of adults and children with OCD and anxiety disorders.”
Rogers also plans to open an adolescent eating disorders treatment program at this facility in the next several months.
