New Directions acquires integrated healthcare management firm

New Directions Behavioral Health on Tuesday announced it has acquired E4 Health, an integrated healthcare management company based in Irving, Texas.
New Directions provides managed behavioral health services, an employee assistance program, organizational consulting, and health coaching to private and public healthcare plans, Fortune 100 companies, large and medium employers, and labor groups. The acquisition of E4 Health and its provider network will supplement New Directions’ employee assistance program and create a combined organization that has:
- 675 employees
- Nine U.S. locations
- More than 2,500 customers serving 16 million individuals
- A national network of more than 20,000 providers
In a news release announcing the deal, New Directions says E4 will continue to service its existing customers under the name E4 Health LLC, with support from New Directions.
