NAPHS announces new leader for advocacy initiatives
The National Association of Psychiatric Health Systems (NAPHS) announced this week that Julie E. Richardson has joined the organization as director of advocacy and senior counsel. Richardson will be tasked with developing strategies to increase the visibility of and action on NAPHS advocacy priorities and initiatives, as well as expanding the organization’s advocacy network and its capacity, and facilitating collaborations with NAPHS members.
Richardson most recently served as director of the Office of Legislative Affairs for the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. Past roles include: senior counsel to the U.S. Senate Committee on Rules & Administration, counsel to the commission chair and vice chair at the Federal Election Commission, and legislative assistant/director and district office coordinator in the Florida House of Representatives.
