Morningside Recovery offers probationers no-cost treatment

Morningside Recovery, an alternative addiction and mental health treatment center in Irvine, Calif., has announced that it is offering a new program called Fresh Start, which offers probationers addiction treatment at no cost to them or the state. 

Fresh Start was created in response to an interest from probation officers across the country. According to Morningside Recovery, initiatives that assist heroin users get treatment without the risk of arrest are already referring clients to the program.

The goal of the program, according to a press statement, is to provide the structure and therapy needed for probationers to succeed and achieve long-term sobriety. The treatment center treats substance abuse and a variety of co-occurring disorders. The program also helps to prepare for life after treatment with vocational services like resume building, interview skills and discharge planning.
