MERGER: Cowley County Mental Health and Four County Mental Health

After much review, the Cowley County Commission has voted to merge the Cowley County Mental Health and Counseling Center (Winfield, Kan.) and Four County Mental Health (Coffeyville, Kan.).

 In an article published in the Arkansas City Traveler, the County Administrator, Jeremy Willmoth, explained how this merger began:

“The primary reasons for discussing the merger options were to strengthen the current mental health center by partnering with another entity in the mental health community who could provide value and services to Cowley County that we currently do not offer.”

The two organizations will work together on a merger document, but it's likely that this won't be finished by the end of the year.
