UHS opens facilities in Washington and Florida

Universal Health Services recently announced the opening of new behavioral health facilities in Spokane, Wash., and Titusville, Fla.

Inland Northwest Behavioral Health will provide inpatient and outpatient mental health services to the Spokane area. The hospital is set to begin accepting adult patients in October, with plans to open an unit for adolescents in 2019.

Inland Northwest is a joint venture between UHS and Providence Health Care, a a region of the not-for-profit Catholic health ministry Providence Health & Services.

In Florida, Palm Point Behavioral Health is an 80-bed facility with inpatient and outpatient mental health treatment services. It is slated to open Oct. 8.

Palm Point will feature dedicated child and adolescent units and separate adult units that offer specialized treatment for individuals experiencing behavioral health issues. Among its additional programs that are planned to launch in the coming months is a mobile assessment team that will respond to requests from local physician and therapist offices, urgent care centers and school systems, providing no-cost assessments.
