Summit BHC acquires Iowa residential program

Summit BHC on Thursday announced the acquisition of St. Gregory Retreat Center in Bayard, Iowa. The facility, which will now be known as St. Gregory Recovery Center, becomes Summit’s first property in Iowa and its 15th overall. The acquisition includes a second property in Adair, Iowa, that will be used to expand services and bed capacity.

Mertz Taggart was the sole M&A advisor to the transaction, representing St. Gregory.   

With 56 beds, St. Gregory offers residential treatment for substance abuse, with a program that includes cognitive behavior therapy, behavior modification training, neurocognitive therapy, a health and wellness program, and comprehensive life planning and coaching.
