A behavioral health facility set to open shortly in Surprise, Ariz., has its first chief executive officer. Burton Carriker has been named CEO of Destiny Springs Healthcare, a 90-bed facility located about 20 miles northwest of Phoenix that will provide inpatient and outpatient treatment for adolescents, adults and geriatric patients.

With 35 years of experience, including 20 years leading behavioral healthcare programs, Carriker previously has served as CEO for Diamond Healthcare behavioral health facilities in the Dallas/Ft. Worth and greater Cleveland areas. At Destiny Springs, he will oversee efforts to recruit and develop a team that, when fully staffed, will include 250 employees.
