UHS acquires three centers in Mississippi

Universal Health Services (UHS) is acquiring three not-for-profit facilities in Mississippi, including a 109-bed inpatient center previously owned jointly by the City of Gulfport and Harrison County under the Memorial Hospital umbrella.

The deal also brings two outpatient clinics located in Gulfport to the UHS portfolio, with an expected closing date in the first quarter of 2018.

The acquired Memorial Behavioral Health facilities offer a full continuum of care, and clinical services include assessments, crisis and residential care, as well as marital and family therapy on an outpatient basis. Mental health and substance use disorder treatment is offered.

UHS operates 320 facilities in 37 across the United States, the United Kingdom, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Last year, net revenue reached more than $9 billion.
