Pharos Capital buys autism provider

Pharos Capital Group, LLC announced its acquisition of Behavior Care Specialists (BCS), an autism treatment service provider based in Sioux Falls, S.D. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in 2006, BCS offers outpatient applied behavior analysis in clinics, schools and homes, serving four states. Alison Hulshof, founder and CEO, and members of her management team will continue to lead BCS going forward.

Previously, Pharos’ Family Treatment Network (FTN) platform acquired Logan River Academy, a Logan, Utah-based adolescent treatment center.

“The acquisition of Behavior Care Specialists is a logical step as Pharos continues to expand its portfolio of behavioral health companies,” said Jim Phillips, Partner at Pharos. “The BCS model adds an early-childhood focused component to FTN’s platform of services and has tremendous potential for further growth.”

The Braff Group served as exclusive merger and acquisition advisor for Behavior Care Specialists, Inc.
