Center fills need for residential eating disorders treatment in Texas
Center for Discovery, a provider of eating disorder treatment, is set to open Texas’ only residential treatment center for adolescents with eating disorders this month in North Dallas.
The program will provide individualized treatment for up to eight teens at a time. In addition to intensive therapy, teens will participate in a hands-on dietary program. Additionally, family involvement will be encouraged in group therapy, family therapeutic family meals and online resources to keep a connection throughout treatment.
The program will be led by Delisa Deutsch, MS, LPC-S, who has been specializing in the treatment of eating disorders for nearly 10 years. Joining Deutsch are Registered Dietician Jean Sullivan and Program Therapist Aimee Howarth, MA, LPC-I.
President and COO of Center for Discovery Mark Hobbins said in a press statement that the program will complement the center’s recently opened intensive outpatient program in Houston. Center for Discovery has 28 programs with Joint Commission accreditation.
