Center for Discovery opens new adolescent mental health treatment facility

Center for Discovery, provider of teen residential treatment, has announced their specialized treatment facility that will provide mental health treatment for teens and adolescents throughout the Southern California area.

“We are happy to bring a specialized and dedicated mental health treatment facility to the Southern California area,” said Dr. Craig Brown, CEO of Center for Discovery. “Recognizing the importance of family involvement in producing effective treatment outcomes, we felt a specialized mental health treatment center in Southern California was a needed resource for families in the area.”

Located in a residential neighborhood in Whittier, California, the Center for Discovery location is exclusively dedicated to treating teens and adolescents, both male and female ages 11 to 17, dealing with mental health disorders including depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, and self-harming behavior.

The proprietary treatment process at Center for Discovery focuses on leading adolescents through a healing journey with a high level of family involvement. The treatment program utilizes a combination of individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, and multi-family therapy to create therapeutic change.
