Acadia buy has new bed potential

Acadia Healthcare acquired TrustPoint Hospital of Murfreesboro, Tenn., earlier this month, adding 101 beds to its portfolio. According to the Nashville Business Journal, the facility has annual revenue of $25 million.

Founded in 2012, TrustPoint provides inpatient/outpatient behavioral health treatment, acute medical treatment and rehabilitation programs for adults and seniors. According to the deal announcement, referrals add up to some 6,000 patients from 300 local sources. Acadia plans to file a certificate of need to expand the number of beds.

According to The Tennessean, TrustPoint’s ClearPath Behavioral Health Clinic opened in February, treating adults and seniors with comprehensive mental health assessments, counseling, psychotherapy and medication management.

The deal was executed by HCP & Company. Cain Brothers served as the advisor to TrustPoint, previously owned by Polaris Hospital Company. Acadia,  advised by Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis in the deal, currently operates a network of more than 580 facilities with 17,400 beds in 39 states, the United Kingdom and Puerto Rico.
