Vertava Health Acquires Integrated Addiction Care Associates

Vertava Health, a national provider of mental health and substance use disorder treatment services, announced that it has acquired Memphis-based outpatient treatment provider Integrated Addiction Care Associates (IAC) with three locations in Tennessee. The deal expands Vertava Health’s presence in the Mid-South region, as well as its MAT, IOP and primary care services in outpatient settings.

IAC co-founders Drs. Shawn Hamm and David Stern will take on roles within the Vertava Health organization. Hamm will serve as medical director at Vertava Health’s inpatient Mississippi location and provide outpatient care. Stern will become regional medical director for SUD services, focusing on patient care and strengthening hospital partnerships.

The deal for IAC continues Vertava’s recent growth. The company has opened four outpatient behavioral health and wellness centers in Ohio and Tennessee.
