Spero Health Opens Outpatient Clinic in Kentucky

Spero Health, the Brentwood, Tennessee-based operator of office-based outpatient opioid treatment facilities, announced this week that it has opened a clinic in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.

The move continues an aggressive growth pattern for the company, which has now opened 16 facilities in five states in 2020, and now has a portfolio of 45 locations that treat more than 8,400 patients per month overall.

Spero is offering a combination of in-person visits along with virtual care options, allowing patients to stay connected with counselors and physicians online and by phone. With overdose deaths on the rise in Kentucky and COVID-19 creating logistical challenges for providing care, Spero Health VP of clinical services David Hayden said maintaining flexibility in its service offerings is critical to the organization’s operations.

“As many continue to take precautions to be socially distant and isolate, it is important that we create avenues in which we connect with those that need help and to provide innovative ways to deliver comprehensive services during this pandemic,” Hayden said in a news release.

Spero Health facilities accept Medicaid and most commercial insurance plans.
