Seaside Healthcare Announces Deals for Two Virginia-Based Providers

Seaside Healthcare, a behavioral health services company based in Shreveport, Louisiana, has announced the acquisition of two Virginia-based providers: Second Chances Comprehensive Services and Simple Intervention.

Second Chances is a mental health and substance use treatment service provider with five locations in Virginia. The CARF-accredited organization provides in-home counseling, mental health skills building, outpatient mental healthcare, group home residential services for individuals at least 18 years of age, crisis stabilization, and intensive outpatient, psychiatric rehabilitation and intensive SUD outpatient programs.

Second Chances owners Damion Mason and Tanikka Mason will maintain management roles with the organization following its acquisition by Seaside.

Based in Chesterfield, Virginia, Simple Intervention is a CARF-accredited provider of behavioral health services, including mental health skill building, mentoring and behavior aid for at-risk youth, intensive in-home services, mobile crisis stabilization, medication management and therapy services and partial hospitalization.

Simple Intervention co-founders Brandon and Kendra Hudson will remain in leadership positions with their program.

With the two deals, Seaside Healthcare expands its portfolio of programs, which now includes facilities in: Louisiana, South Carolina, Texas, Georgia, North Carolina and Virginia.
