Novamind Adding 4 Psychedelic Mental Health Clinics, Doubling Size of Network
Novamind, a mental health company that specializes in psychedelic medicine, has announced plans to open 4 new Cedar Psychiatry clinics in Utah, which will double its network to 8 locations in the state overall.
Construction has begun on three facilities, and property has been leased for the site of the fourth. The four locations are scheduled to open between July and September, and the company expects to increase its patient volume to 65,000 client visits for 2021, up from 20,000 visits in 2020.
Cedar Psychiatry clinics offer ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and transcranial magnetic stimulation. Locations in Draper, Murray and Salt Lake City will offer patients opportunities for participating in psychedelic medicine clinical trials that are led by Cedar Clinical Research, Novamind’s research arm. A Cedar Psychiatry location in Park City will serve as both a clinic and as a retreat center, offering therapeutic psychedelic experiences.
Novamind announced it is also building a call center that will improve communications with clients and referring physicians, and also facilitate an increase in processing of insurance reimbursements. The company said in a news release that it plans further expansion into more states later this year.
