Rosecrance CEO redesigns role to focus on growth

Rosecrance has announced an organizational change. Phil Eaton will continue to fill the role of president and CEO, now leading the parent company, Rosecrance Health Network, while David Gomel, PhD, has taken on the new role of president of Rosecrance, Inc., which is the organization’s operating company.

“It’s our adjustment of structure to follow the growth we’ve had,” Eaton tells Behavioral Healthcare Executive. “It also gives me opportunities in a couple of additional areas like public policy and development, while also looking for other opportunities for growth.”

Eaton says Rosecrance has expanded significantly in the past 36 months, now with more than 40 locations in three states: Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin. Future strategic plans include potential acquisitions or start-ups in additional states.

Gomel has been with Rosecrance for two decades and will be responsible for all programs and services. He is also chairman of the Illinois Association for Behavioral Health Board of Directors.
