HonorHealth, UHS Announce New Behavioral Health Facility in Arizona
HonorHealth, a not-for-profit community healthcare system in the Phoenix area, has signed on for a partnership with Universal Health Services that will expand behavioral health service offerings in Phoenix, Scottsdale and their surrounding communities in Arizona with the construction of a new 120-bed behavioral health facility.
As part of the agreement, UHS will be the majority owner and oversee day-to-day operations and management of a new, freestanding, 73,000-square-foot facility to be constructed in Scottsdale. The facility will offer a continuum of inpatient services for adolescents, adults and older adults, as well as behavioral health assessments 24 hours a day. The facility will also include intensive outpatient treatment and partial hospitalization, and programming for co-occurring behavioral health and substance use issues and mental health issues.
Groundbreaking on the new facility is slated for January, and construction is scheduled to be completed in 2021.
