JourneyPure deal adds Florida outpatient centers
JourneyPure Holdings has added Florida Counseling Centers to its portfolio. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Kevin Lee, JourneyPure CEO, tells Behavioral Healthcare Executive in an email that JourneyPure is able to provide capital for the expansion of Florida Counseling Centers in the local area.
“The Central Florida market has much more demand than supply of quality substance abuse and mental illness treatment services, and JourneyPure intends to grow by adding clinics and residential treatment facilities in the areas around Melbourne, Orlando and Tampa,” Lee says.
In fact, according to the deal announcement, the organization is on track to open a residential treatment facility this year adjacent to Florida Counseling’s location in Melbourne.
Lee says the provider has a good reputation and will add to JourneyPure's existing capabilities in treating co-occurring disorders. Founded in 2004, Florida Counseling operates two outpatient centers in the state, and its founder, Mike Ronsisvalle, PsyD, will serve as the chief of clinical operations for JourneyPure’s Central Florida operations.
In all, Nashville-based JourneyPure currently operates six residential facilities and 14 outpatient clinics in four states as well as a number of recovery residences.
