BayMark deal adds detox services

BayMark Health Services, has completed its acquisition deals for AppleGate Recovery and Coleman Institute—two medication-assisted treatment providers. The portfolio company has been backed by Webster Capital since 2015.

Established in 2008, AppleGate Recovery has four office-based clinics in Louisiana and Texas offering buprenorphine treatment. AppleGate will retain its name.

Established in 1998, the Coleman Institute has eight locations offering detox services and naltrexone treatment—the first detox provider in the BayMark portfolio. The deal was six months in the making, and the Coleman Institute also will retain its name.

With the latest deal, BayMark now has 65 treatment locations, according to the company, as well as integrated primary care services. BayMark was formed in 2015 from the merger of two opiate treatment companies: BAART Programs and MedMark Treatment Centers.
