Field Trip Opens Treatment Center in Atlanta

Field Trip Health this week announced the opening of a new location in Atlanta. The facility joins Field Trip’s other U.S. sites in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago, and it is the first of several new treatment centers the company plans to launch in 2021.

Field Trip develops and delivers psychedelic therapies for the treatment of depression, anxiety and PTSD. Its treatment programs integrate the use of ketamine with psychotherapy, mindfulness and self-care.

The design of the Atlanta facility was heavily influenced by the local community and the building’s historic architecture, the company noted in a news release.

“Psychedelic medicine is in the midst of a renaissance, experiencing renewed interest from the medical and scientific community around the world; in large part because of the capacity of psychedelic therapies to help people experience a sense of renewal and rebirth,” Field Trip executive chairman Ronan Levy said in the release. “With the Atlanta location, that sense of a renewal and rebirth goes a step further. By being part of the redevelopment of the Atlanta Stockade, a former prison complex with a long and intricate history, our Atlanta location takes this narrative of renewal, rebirth and renaissance a step further. We are delighted to take a once penal building it and turn into a center for healing, expansion and growth.”
