Discovery Behavioral Health Opens Two Adolescent Programs in Virginia
Discovery Behavioral Health, an organization with more than 100 mental health, substance use and eating disorder treatment centers in the U.S., announced that it has opened two mental health programs for adolescents about 15 miles west of Washington, D.C.
The two new programs, which will operate under the Discovery Mood and Anxiety Programs brand, are located in Fairfax County, Virginia, will complement the company’s existing residential program in Fairfax Station, with all three facilities providing treatment for a primary mental health diagnosis.
Each new facility has an 8-bed capacity for residential treatment for patients between the ages of 10 and 18. An outpatient program offers partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment for adults and adolescents separately.
Treatment at the Discovery programs includes: medication management and education by a psychiatrist, individual and family therapy, and psycho-education groups for patients and their support system.
