Discovery Behavioral Health Names CEO for Casa Palmera

Discovery Behavioral Health announced that Jennifer Carvalho has been named CEO of its Casa Palmera addiction treatment center in Del Mar, California.

Carvalho brings more than 20 years of experience in behavioral health services management, with a focus on drug and alcohol addiction treatment. She is an executive board member of the California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals.

Founded in 2005, Casa Palmera specializes in the treatment of substance use disorder, as well as mood and anxiety disorders, and trauma, with outpatient and residential programs. The facility, which has 55 beds, has continued to operate and accept new patients through the COVID-19 pandemic, implementing enhanced screening and safety measures. The facility was acquired by Discovery Behavioral Health in December.
