CM Counsel Acquired by Investment Firm Centra Capital

CM Counsel, an outpatient behavioral health practice that operates in the Greater Philadelphia area, has been purchased by the investment and business development firm Centra Capital. The provider, which has been a private, family-owned operation since it was founded in 1989, will continue to operate under its existing name.

CM Counsel has locations in Exton, Plymouth Meeting, and King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, that employ more than 40 practitioners and staff. Its services include: psychiatric evaluation and medication management, child and adolescent therapy, marriage and couples therapy, hypnotherapy, individual adult therapy, ADHD testing, family therapy, and group therapy.

Also noted in a news release announcing the deal, the CM Counsel management team is welcoming two members: Phyllis Westfield, vice president of business development and former CEO of the Horsham Clinic, and behavioral health sector finance veteran Greg Nucifora as the company’s VP of finance.

Centra Capital managing director Jordan Klear, who is also the former CEO of a healthcare services firm, said in the release that Centra plans to invest in expanding CM Counsel’s services and market reach.
