Caron Treatment Centers has a modern, gender-separate treatment facility for adolescents 13-19 years of age. Caron's adolescent services provide drug and alcohol assessments, address co-occurring psychiatric issues, and simultaneously meet the increasingly complicated needs of families. The treatment process starts in Caron's 40-bed primary treatment center and, in most cases, continues in Caron's Adolescent Extended Care Programs. During the course of adolescents' stay in primary and extended care, they are involved in Caron's education program, a program that's individualized in nature—Caron is the only treatment center that provides on-site education to its adolescent patient population. Caron also provides Family Education Programs, since family involvement is vital for a patient's long-term recovery. Families are given information and tools crucial to their family recovery efforts.
