BRC Receives Investment from Two Private Equity Firms

Private equity firms Veronis Suhler Stevenson (VSS) and NewSpring Health Capital on Thursday announced the completion of an investment in Austin, Texas-based addiction treatment company BRC Recovery, as well as the creation of BRC Healthcare, a new holding company for the BRC Recovery family of programs and future acquisitions.

BRC provides gender-specific treatment for adults with substance use disorders. The company’s service offerings include detox, intensive outpatient and residential treatment, and sober living, and it operates four clinical programs: BRC Recovery, Spearhead Lodge, Makana Path and Segue Recovery.

“We’re excited to build upon the successful legacy of leadership Marsha Stone and her talented staff have shown at BRC, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to providing high-quality clinical care and innovating addiction treatment and therapeutic programs that ensure patients stay healthy, focused and moving forward on their journey to recovery and sober living,” BRC CEO Drew Rothermel said in a news release announcing the deal.
