Braxia Health Becomes First Ketamine Therapy Provider in Quebec

Braxia Scientific, a Canadian operator of outpatient psychedelic research and treatment facilities, announced it has entered into a joint venture with Neurotherapy Montreal to open the first ketamine therapy clinic in Quebec.

The new facility, which will operate as Braxia Health, is the company’s fourth clinic in Canada. It will offer novel ketamine therapy, including intravenous therapy, in a private, clinical setting to treat patients diagnosed with mental health disorders. The clinic is located in Neurotherapy Montreal’s 14,000-square-foot facility that provides mental health and rehabilitation services for children and adults. Its psychiatrists, nurses and other medical professionals treat patients diagnosed with injuries that have resulted in major depression and other mood disorders.

“We are extremely pleased to be joining Neurotherapy Montreal, expanding our clinical research footprint, but more importantly, having the ability to reach more patients diagnosed with depression and other mental disorders to offer rapid-onset treatments, including intravenous ketamine therapy,” Braxia CEO Roger McIntyre, MD, said in a news release.

Since the company opened its first clinic in 2018, Braxia has administered more than 3,000 intravenous ketamine infusions and more than 60 intranasal ketamine treatments in its programs.
