Ashley Addiction Treatment Launches Maryland Women’s Program

Ashley Addiction Treatment has announced the opening of its first women’s extended care program and residence in Churchville, Maryland. The site will offer a 90-day recovery program that focuses on long-term, gender-specific substance use disorder treatment for women.

Programming at the new facility, which has a capacity of eight patients, is centered on clinical services, life skills training and mutual support group immersion. Daily practices in treatment include nutrition planning, meal prep, work on sleep and hygiene habits, and physical fitness.

James Ryan, Ashley’s director of emerging adult services, said in a news release that the women’s extended care program was developed in response to the unique challenges and stigmas faced by women with SUD.

“We’re thrilled to add this program to our extensive list of services and look forward to helping more women regain their sense of independence, develop meaningful connections and increase their chances of successful sobriety with this tailored approach to treatment,” Ryan said in the release.
