SAMHSA adds learning center to evidence-based practice registry

A newly created online learning center is designed to assist addiction and mental health service providers in implementing and sustaining practices that are part of the National Registry of Evidence-Based Programs and Practices.

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) launched the Learning Center on the registry's website last week. Available tools include case studies, videos and workbooks designed to translate research on the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.

One of the Learning Center's sections addresses emerging evidence in culture-based practices, covering the process of building evidence for practices targeted underserved populations for which cultural factors play a prominent role.
