Amid strategy shift, Solid Landings rehires former executive

A California treatment organization that earlier this year agreed to close numerous recovery residence sites and indicated a shift in its program model has brought back its former vice president of outreach. An Oct. 11 news release from Solid Landings Behavioral Health states that Adrienne Stratton “will help re-establish the brand and strengthen relationships with other mental and behavioral health professionals.”

Solid Landings announced in April that it had come to an agreement to close its sober-living home sites in Costa Mesa, ending a legal dispute in which it had sued the city over an ordinance that establishes distance and special permit requirements for recovery residences. Solid Landings' action did not affect a second similar lawsuit against Costa Mesa.

Company president Gerik Degner said in the spring that Solid Landings now wants to focus more on developing larger campus-like sites featuring both primary treatment and recovery support services.

Stratton said in this week's news release, regarding Solid Landings, “While there are great challenges here, returning to Solid Landings provided the right opportunity for me to accomplish and achieve meaningful work.”
