Sunspire opens IOP in Southern California

Sunspire Health, a national network of addiction and behavioral health treatment providers, has expanded its treatment services in the Coachella Valley region of California with the opening of its Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) in Palm Desert. It is Sunspire’s third location to offer IOP services, along with Sunspire Health Astoria Pointe in Oregon and Recovery Road in Florida, both of which also offer residential treatment.

A follow-up to inpatient residential treatment, the Palm Desert program offers continued clinical care with individual and group counseling sessions, as well as psycho-educational workshops. Its goal is to help individuals develop sober-living tools and skills while providing support for their transition into the routine of a new life in recovery.

Sober living accommodations at the Palm Desert facility are available to patients not local to the Coachella Valley area.

The Intensive Outpatient Program is based on the Matrix Model, in which patients meet with therapists for support, direction, coaching, drug education and an introduction to self-help support such as the 12-Step Program.
